The Invites!

You may remember them from this post...

The Sweet Shoppe Awning

My husband is absolutely amazing!  I described to him what I envisioned and he made it happen.  He's the best!  :)

We included lots of goodies in out Sweet Shoppe...even toothbrushes to help clean those sugary teeth!

I am completely digging this rock candy SOAP!  Yes, it looks just like real rock candy and it smells just as sweet!
Visit Tammy at MilkandCookeez.com to see these and lots of other sudsy goodies!

 The Decor...

I took the birthday girl to the local candy store and took lots of pictures.  Then I framed the pics in bright, colorful frames and displayed them on the mantle.  They looked great!

Paper party lanterns were converted into giant hard candies and placed around the party area.

These little lollipop topiaries were a kid favorite!
Each time they participated in a game they got to go pick lollipops off of the "lollipop trees."

Guests were greeted at the door by this sign from  The TomKat Studio!  Isn't it adorable?!!

The lollipop walkway...

Isn't is just amazing what you can do with paper plates???!

The candy necklace garland...this was MY favorite!

I fell in love with these candy-striped straws from Bake It Pretty!

Martha Stewart...and Me?!!

Hey Everybody!

I just got some big news that I have to share with you!

I was featured on Martha Stewart’s “Dreamers into Doers” website!!!

Really!  Take a look:

Holy crap!  I’m sure everyone in that community gets their turn in the spotlight, but seeing my name right under Martha Stewart’s gives me goosebumps!

AND, that's not all!

My ice cream cupcakes were THE most popular item on the website yesterday!!!

Oh my gosh!  Seriously?!!!  I'm sooo very excited!

I've got my fingers and toes crossed that this exposure will open some doors for me.  We'll see!  :)

Thanks for following along on the journey!  It's gonna be a fun ride!

Have a happy day!  :)
xoxo, Jen

Sweet Shoppe Party Invitations

Well, the big Sweet Shoppe Party is just over a week away and the planning is going great!

There are lots of fun things in store...I can't wait!

Now that the invitations have all been delivered, you can have a little sneak peek into this sweet soiree.

Here are the lollipop invites...drumroll, please...

Aren't they adorable?!!  I'm so excited about how they turned out!

I have a big crush on that sherbet colored ribbon, too...love it!

These were so incredibly simple to make.

Just use a circle cutter to create the circles on patterned scrapbook paper.

Print your party wording on white cardstock (here's what I put on mine):

Then cut the cardstock into circles slightly smaller than your patterned paper.

Use double-sided tape to attach them together.

Secure a lollipop stick to the back of each invite, then hot glue a bow in the front to make it pretty.

I jazzed up the envelopes a little too, just for the fun of it.

Don't you love them?!!

Stay tuned....the big party details are soon to follow!  :)

By the way, I want to make sure I give credit to The TomKat Studio for the "sweet" inspiration.  Her adorable invitation idea inspired me to make my own.  THANK YOU!  :)

Caprese Appetizer

I saw this adorable appetizer in a recent issue of Southern Living magazine and knew that I had to give it a try!

Well, not only are these little bites cute, they're delish!  And a perfect snack for Labor Day weekend and tailgates!

I love how pretty they are...makes me want to jump right into the photo and take a bite!

Cake Pops Excitement!

Oooohhh, I am bubbling over with excitement!

I just got word that my very own copy of the newly released Cake Pops book by the famous Bakerella is on it's way to me!

Woohoo!  I can't wait!

For those of you that don't know, Bakerella is a truly creative baking genious.

Cake on a stick???  Who'd have ever thought?!!

The ideas that she comes up with and executes are just beyond words.

You may remember these brownie pops that I made for Easter.  Totally inspired by Bakerella (only I used brownies instead of cake).  Adorable, right?!!

But cake pops are just one of the many things that this gal does so well.

Her recipes are scrumptious, and the photos of her creations will often leave you licking your computer screen.  Okay, maybe that's just me.  :)

Back to the book.  It's a big deal.  You want it.  I promise!

Get your copy at Amazon.com:

Now head on over to Bakerella and see what all of the excitement is about.  You won't be disappointed!  :)
