Creative Cookie Mama!

As I was putting together ideas for the kids ice cream party yesterday I stumbled across a fabulous blog that I just have to share you...The Cookie Mama!

I was originally super excited about her ice cream cone cookies because they matched the theme I was working on perfectly. Not to mention the fact that the cookies were gorgeous...

So after seeing these creative concoctions, naturally I just had to take a peek around the blog.

Oh, my gosh!  I was blown away!

This "Cookie Mama" really knows how to dress up some cookies!

Take a peek at just a few of her amazing designs, like these cupcake cookies...

...or these dice cookies (which I am soooo making for my next Bunco gathering)...

...and these luau cookies... about a little cocktail for good measure?

The colors in these little football cookies are just great!

But I was completely obsessesed with these little Farmer's Market cookies!
They are absolutely, positively precious!!!

Isn't she one talented gal?!!

And she does all of this work from home while raising 2 cutie pie little girls!

Absolutely amazing!

Make sure to pay a visit to the Cookie Mama blog to check out all of her awesome designs and to show her a little blog love!

In the meantime, I'm sending her a great big thank you for sharing her ice cream cone cookie idea with me!

Thanks, Cookie Mama!  :)

Ice Cream Party!

This ice cream party is sooo much fun, and a great way to beat the summer heat!

From the adorable little party invites to the ooey, gooey sundae bar, the kids will love everything about this summertime bash!

And how cute is the ice cream cone pinata?!!  It not only serves as a party activity, but also as a festive party decoration.  Perfect for this theme!

Justin Bieber Cake

Just mention the name Justin Bieber and you can visibly see my daughter swoon!

She's just crazy for the guy, so it seemed fitting to make her a Justin Beiber cake for her birthday.

With the help of some scrapbook paper and some ribbon, the cake actually turned out pretty cute.

My daughter, of course, was in love with it!

This idea can be used for any celeb...or any person for that matter.

It's actually very heavy decorating involved.  :) Designer Party Supplies

Fun Centerpiece Idea

Isn't this a fun centerpiece for a birthday celebration?

It's actually a wreath and an oversized birthday hat pieced together to make a pretty table topper.

Love it!

I found the pieces at a local art show and just couldn't leave without them.  Not sure you can find them anywhere else, but I can tell you the secret to making your own!

The wreath is a simple styrofoam wreath form with curling ribbon stapled into it.  That's it!!!

Now, I can imagine that it would take a good bit of time to curl all of that ribbon and staple it in, but it's easy enough to do while sitting in front of the TV watching your favorite show.

The hat is made of some type of heavy cardstock.  Seems to me you could get a piece of posterboard, fold it into a cone shape, paint your own design on it, stick some curling ribbon and the top and you're all set!

Use them separately or use them together to create a centerpiece like this one.  Super cute!  :)

Honey Chicken Wings

These chicken wings are totally and completely AMAZING!

Seriously.  Positively scrumptious.

My mom found this recipe in the Southern Living Homestyle Cooking cookbook, made it for a get-together we had, and we have been devouring these things ever since!

These wings are so good that I usually make a double batch, and that's often still not enough to please a hungry crowd!

Give them a shot...I'll bet you'll be adding the recipe to your list of faves in no time!
