Celebrations in Bloom

Well, the past couple of days here in Virginia have been nice and warm, leaving me itching for spring time!

Nothing says "spring" more than flowers in bloom, which leads us to today's post.

Simply use coordinating scrapbook papers to create your invitation, then tie on a little wand that the kids can play with while they wait for the big party day to arrive.

Stylish High Heel Cake

Is this cake sassy or what? LOVE it!

A friend approached me with a reeaaallly cute invitation and asked me to make a cake to match.

The invite was brown and leopard print stripes with an adorable pink high heel shoe on it. Along with it, she gave me some leopard print ribbon she had found.

This is what I came up with.

Candy Whoppers make a great border...they almost remind me of a chunky beaded necklace...very cool!
For presentation, I stacked and hot glued cake boards together, then wrapped them with black paper. I added pink cardstock for color, then wrapped the edges with the remaining ribbon.

A Touch of Spring

Napkins with a Twist

Accessorizing your napkins is such a cool way to spice up your party table!

I came across this idea on FamilyCircle.com and just couldn't resist sharing it. Aren't these little napkin accents great?

With just a little bit of thinking outside the box, you can use this idea for just about any party theme. They've used daisies for Spring, sand dollars for a beachy look, and I LOVE the little lollipops...I just may use that idea for my niece's Candy Land party!

Yummy Crockpot Meatball Recipe

Awesome and Easy!

Any recipe that saves me time is a winner in my book!

You can literally throw some frozen meatballs in a crockpot with just TWO ingredients, set it, and forget it!

If frozen meatballs just aren't your thing, our homemade meatball recipe is really easy to make, and only adds less than 30 minutes to your prep time.

So incredibly easy, and really tasty, too!

You can serve them right out of the crockpot if you want them to stay warm for the duration of your party, or plate them for a nice presentation.
